* Volunteer at your local food bank.
* Give a gift card (Starbucks work well) to an active duty military person.
* Send a card to the troops using LetsSayThanks
* Do you have a neighbor who is a senior citizen? One of the nicest things you can do is to offer to take them to the store to buy groceries whenever you are going, too.
* Making cookies or a cake? Well. . . make extra! We have a wonderful combined fire/ambulance/sheriff department in our area and surprising them with cookies, cakes, etc. is a great way to thank them for all they do.
* Do you commute on a bus or train? Well, instead of reading the paper or a book, write a thank you letter to the store manager about the clerk or courtesy clerk that was so helpful. Leave a note for the mail person to thank them for always delivering your packages safely.
